Nov 2009 to Apr 2011 |
|
Business Systems Analyst /
Solutions Designer |
Project 1: Designed a software solution to receive customer and policy
transactional insurance details from an online policy self service broker system
called Acturis. The complex policy data contained the full customer and policy
information (Domestic / Industrial). This data was populated into a relational
database and used to feed 21 existing legacy and reporting systems. Test
versions of Acturis were used to generate data for testing.
Project 2: Gathered user business requirements. Produced required project
plan, design, database and modelling documentation for a leading edge MI system
to store and deliver customer transactional insurance policy data. The policy
transactional data was converted into episodic form (policy history). This gave
exploded policy MI details at an extremely detailed level. Regardless of how
many changes and endorsements were made to a policy, it was possible to look at
the policy and understand current positions and earnings per month etc.
• Requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, functional and technical
design. Ensure complex Acturis XML data messages were stored correctly in a new
DB2 database. Supervised DB2 database revisions from the original design.
Produced design and technical specifications for programs JCL, FTP and TWS (OPC)
scheduling. Designed and wrote and unit UAT tested batch COBOL DB2 programs

in. General Ledger and MRECS information was extracted
and posted into the Walker GL overnight. |
